Radishes on Red

I got this new red plate that was begging to be in a painting. And these radishes seemed right at home on it.  They lose their luster easily, so I had to keep the spray bottle handy so I could remember why they are so dramatic and beautiful! Brown Eggs

An artist friend told me she spent the first 6 months of art 

school just drawing eggs! A little crazy, maybe, but an egg is 

deceiving in its simplicity.  Universal,  yet each one is unique in 

some small way. Delicate yet strong, elemental & elegant.
