Arthur

Spring lambs! I went on a mission in March to a farm where I had often spotted sheep grazing. I wanted to see some new lambs. I learned the year before that lambs come early, sometimes when it still seemed more like winter than spring. So I wasn't about to miss it 2 years in a row. I drove in, unannounced, to Aldarra Farms near Carnation, and the owners showed me their 2 week-old lambs. This one had a name, a twin whose mama hadn't enough milk for both. So,  Arthur got the 'boot'. But because he was bottle fed, he was people-bonded, and wasn't a bit skittish, like the others. He let me take as many pictures as I wanted! Delightful. Postscript: Aldarra Farms is now a beautiful housing development, but without a single lamb. Sigh.
